Have never had a bad meal at the Courthouse. The prices are a little high in comparison to the local restaurants, but the quality is there to back it up. Love the steaks!

This is by far the best restaurant in Manitowoc! One doesn't have to put up with mindless tobacco addicts. There are plenty of options for vegetarians and carnivores alike. The owner (Jon) actually walks around and asks how you are enjoying yourself. We held my mother's wake there; and the cooks and the waitstaff went the extra mile to make it a memorable occasion. The beer is great!!

I've been to Courthouse Pub three times. The food is good, even great. The atmosphere, however, is not. It just seems a bit dated and blah. Others might not care so much but if I'm going to shell out lots of money on a meal, I'm doing so for the experience as well as the food. The mussels were great and I would go back again, but it's definitely not my idea of a high class restaurant-(which the prices do imply) I'd rather travel to Sheboygan or Green Bay for the price I'd pay at Courthouse Pub because there I could find a restaurant with just as good of food (if not better) AND an awesome atmosphere.

As two couples we have taken the ferry Badger out of Ludington, Mi to Manitowoc, Wi for a mini vacation for the last few years. After visiting Door County we came back to our room at the Best Western Waterfront where we have always had a clean room with a very helpful staff. The Courthouse Pub was one of the best experiences we all had ever had! Great food, a wait staff that didn't smother you,but took care of every need. Food was excellent! I'm looking forward to our meal in just a couple of weeks!

Courthouse Pub1001 South 8 StreetManitowoc WI 54220920-686-1166http://www.courthousepub.comI've been to the Courthouse Pub on several occasions and the best that I could say is that it is simply OK. I would rate it a 1 1/2 stars if I could. Not totally POOR but just below OK. We usually visit the Pub during the holidays (while in Manitowoc) and with each visit I can honestly say that this establishment is nothing special - not a place that I will continue to go to.On my first visit, my sister and I went on a busy weekend evening shortly after this bar/restaurant opened. We were seated after some time and given menus. What seemed to be an exceptionally LONG time (maybe 15 - 20 minutes) a waitress approached us to say that the kitchen just closed. When we informed her how long we had been waiting - she asked what we wanted from the bar since the kitchen was now CLOSED.We laughed at such poor service and decided just to drink instead. It was late and we were warm. Too late to go elsewhere.Noticing the decor, we decided that they had NOT finished decorating the dining area because it really lacked style. It looked very SUPPER CLUBish. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, we concluded that it would be upgraded at some point in the near future. All of the attention was given to the bar area. That looks fun and inviting. Maybe the dining area was an afterthought? On another visit, I went with my husband and some drinking buddies. Everyone stated that the beer was just OK. We stayed for a round then went on to a bar with more atmosphere and cheaper drinks. This is the only brew pub in Manitowoc and the place can be fun when you are with your friends. But so can ANY bar!I might venture back again someday . . . just to see if the dining room decor had ever been redone. Things might be very different now - but maybe not.
